Did another Big Butterfly Count this morning by some buddleia bushes at Black Park Country Park this morning in glorious weather. The warm weather and bright sunshine had lots of Butterflies actively feeding on the flowers. In the 15minute count, I had 12 different species seen and over 25+ individual butterflies counted. Highlight was finding a stunning Painted Lady which showed very well for over 30mins after the count on the buddleia.
Other Butterflies include Red Admiral, Peacock, Tortoiseshell, Holly Blue, Green-veined White, Large White, Small White, Ringlet, Meadow Brown, Speckled Wood and Comma.
Few pics below of Butterflies from the count.
