Back down onto the patch this afternoon for another search for migrants and straight away I found a Spotted Flycatcher perched distantly on some barb wire. Few mins later I found 2 female/1st year Redstarts flycatching from a nearby hedge. Also of note was a Lesser Whitethroat, 2 Common Whitethroat, 5 Chiffchaff, 4 Willow Warbler, 6 Blackcap, 8 Sedge Warbler and a single Reed Warbler along the river edge willows and bramble scrub.
Other sightings of note include a Kingfisher along the river, Sparrowhawk over the wood, 2 Stock Dove in dead tree, several Goldcrest, Coal Tit and Long-tailed Tit roving flocks.
